Q: Do you take insurance?

A: We currently work with Blue Cross Blue Shield,  Evernorth (Cigna), Optum (United HealthCare), Aetna, Kaiser Permanente, and Medicaid. If you have a different insurance provider, our services can be billed to most insurance carriers as an out-of-network provider. This means that we are not in the insurance company’s network of providers, but depending on your plan, you may be able to get reimbursed for our services.  You can call your insurance carrier to find out what your out-of-network  benefits are, or you can call us and provide us information to check on your behalf.

Q: Is what we talk about in therapy confidential?

A: Absolutely. Your confidentiality is important and is treated as such. Therefore, nothing you share in session will be discussed outside of the office without your consent. If you would like to share information, or give an update to your healthcare team, you will need to fill out an authorization permitting this to happen. Our confidentiality policy is detailed on our Forms page.

Q: What is therapy like?

A: Before our initial session, there are forms to fill out which gives me an idea of what you would like to work on. As we continue to meet, depending on your goals, together, we will develop effective coping skills to reduce your discomfort.
